[and sure enough, a portal from the staff spits nico out in the hall outside karolina's room. she knocks, collapsing the staff for now.]

Hi. (She half-steps, half lunges forward to pull Nico into a hug.

No swimsuit yet, she's just in jean shorts and a t-shirt.)

Hey. [Nico smiles a little into Karolina's shoulder as she returns the hug immediately, steering both of them into the room.]

How was school? [She strokes Nico's hair gently as she asks, before walking over toward her dresser]

Fine, I guess? Same old shit. [She forces back a smile at the affection from Karolina, before sitting down on her bed.]

Yeah. [She opens the drawer, sets the bikini on top of the dresser, and offers Nico another smile before she turns around.

There's so much to worry about from home, so much that she can't do anything about right this second. Spending time with Nico is the main thing that helps to distract her from that. Helps keep her from obsessing over it.

Of course, spending time with Nico has her obsessing over other things. Things she's not sure that Nico's ready for, and that she knows for a fact she's not. But hopefully they're getting there.]

[Oh. oh. Nico's face, usually slightly flushed with a little igari makeup, gets redder.

Nico has no desire to push Karolina, really. She isn't completely sure she's ready for more than what they've been doing, either, but she's not... opposed.

And the implicit invitation there makes her take pause. She finally nods, eyes on her.]

Karrie, you don't have to show me, if you don't want to.

[She's trying to be careful about boundaries. Sure, at this point she has seen Karolina with most of her clothes off, but. This is slightly new territory.]

I know. But I want to.

I mean, there are so many things I want to do with you. [this stupid bracelet stops her skin from turning other colors why doesn't it stop her from blushing too] I'm... not ready for a lot of them.

But I might be ready for this one? Unless you think we should wait.

Um... no, no. I'm ready if you are? It's not a huge jump. At this point.

[she definitely sounds a little nervous. and if it helps, karolina, nico's blushing a lot too.]

It's not a small one, either. [There's just a hint of pout in her voice.]
