Holy shit, K. You-- [nico laughs and takes both of karolina's hands in hers, starting to pull her into the house.] What's this about?

When we fought him... [her smile stays in place talking about that battle, maybe for the first time. They all made it out, after all, and now she's gotten something good out of it.] He just lit up. He didn't have anything like my bracelet, but he still managed to look human.

That's--seriously, that's fantastic. [she keeps her smile on while karolina talks about the battle, too. nico's just--surprised, so happy for her and proud of her all at once. karolina's basically her favorite person, of course she's loving this. she's also steering them over to the couch, because of course.] Do you have to like--think about it, to keep it switched off?

[she pauses, huffing out a laugh as she leans against her girlfriend's shoulder.]

I mean, not off, that makes it sound like--screw it, you know what I mean.

[Karolina laughs too, grabbing Nico and collapsing onto the couch dramatically.] Yeah. I mean, not a whole lot? It's like I'm standing on a balance beam. It's kinda hard for now, but I can already see how it's gonna get easier.

[she actually shrieks a little in surprise when karolina drags her along like that, bracing herself with a hand on her other shoulder as they land on the couch. nico smacks her shoulder, lightly, before leaning up to kiss her cheek. so. take that.]

Just don't push it too hard. And warn me next time.

Mm-mm. [She shakes her head at the second part, trying to pull Nico into kissing range.]
